The BioChamber 2000 is a 2000 mL plastic chamber that can be used with a CO2 Gas Sensor and an O2 Gas Sensor to monitor gaseous carbon dioxide and oxygen levels simultaneously in a closed system. The BioChamber 2000 is particularly useful when monitoring respiration and photosynthesis. The large side opening provides easy access to insert, adjust, or remove the sample.
The BioChamber 2000 has two sensor ports on adjacent sides. Placing one of these ports on top, as shown, allows the O2 Gas Sensor to be in its proper vertical orientation. The CO2 Gas Sensor can then be placed in the other port on the side. Note that the two sensor ports are not equally spaced. One port is centered on its side of the chamber while the other is off-center. This was done intentionally to provide two options for your sensor orientation.

If you choose not to use both ports, a size 6 rubber stopper fits snugly in the grommet. Note: While the stopper fits well, it is not guaranteed to be a water tight seal.

The O2 Gas Sensor can be used to monitor gaseous oxygen levels in a variety of biology and chemistry experiments. The sensor is intended for measuring gaseous, not aqueous, O2 concentration.
