Accessory Items

Centripetal Force Apparatus Motor Accessory Kit
This kit controls the rotational rate of the Go Direct® Centripetal Force System so students can focus on a single variable and deepen their understanding of cause and effect. The Motor Accessory Kit drives the experiment setup at a constant angular velocity while students evaluate the centripetal acceleration and/or force required to maintain an object rotating at a specified radius. The rotational rate is adjustable. What's IncludedMotorBracket and attachment to basePower supply with variable speed controlO-ring

Physics Explorations and Projects
This book contains over 30 guided-inquiry-based investigations for physics students to explore and analyze key physics concepts included in NGSS. Description Physics Explorations and Projects is a collection of laboratory investigations aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Most included investigations set up a situation for students to explore and analyze with some guidance from the instructor—a guided-inquiry format that is very different from traditional laboratory experiments that provide step-by-step instructions. The activities are editable and appropriate for high school students from 9th grade to AP Physics. Sample results are included with the extensive instructor information. Due to the nature of these activities, minimal instruction is provided for software use and data analysis. Instructor experience with Vernier sensors and software is recommended.

Centripetal Force Apparatus Sensor Bracket
The Centripetal Force Apparatus Sensor Bracket is used to attach a Go Direct® Force and Acceleration Sensor to the beam of a Vernier centripetal force apparatus. This bracket and hardware is also able to attach some third-party sensors to a Vernier centripetal force apparatus. This kit includes Hardware to attach a sensor to the beam of a Centripetal Force Apparatus and Go Direct® Centripetal Force Apparatus Loop attachment to connect a Go Direct® Force and Acceleration Sensor to a mass carriage of a Vernier centripetal force apparatus

Go Direct™ Force and Acceleration Sensor
The Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor couples a 3-axis accelerometer with a stable and accurate force sensor that measures forces as small as ±0.1 N and up to ±50 N. Measure pushes and pulls in the classroom or outdoors. It directly connects wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB to your platform. The Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor includes a force sensor, 3-axis accelerometer, and 3-axis gyroscope. Take it on a roller coaster, swing, or slide. Suspend several Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensors from the ceiling to perform a 3-D vector force experiment, or attach a string to the hook and whirl it in a horizontal or vertical circle. In wireless mode, your imagination is the only limiting factor! Go Direct Force and Acceleration can be used in a variety of experiments: Investigate Newton’s Third Law by connecting the hooks of two force sensors with a rubber band. Use the force sensor to pull an object across a surface to measure frictional forces. Attach the force sensor to the Centripetal Force Apparatus to measure centripetal force and acceleration simultaneously. Place sensors on Dynamics Carts to investigate forces and accelerations in collisions. Specifications: Force: ±50 N Acceleration: 3 axis, ±16 g Gyroscope: 3 axis, 2000°/s Connections: Wireless: Bluetooth Wired: USB Icluded: Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor Hook Bumper Nylon screw Accessory rod Micro USB Cable

Rotary Motion Sensor Kit
The Rotary Motion Sensor and Rotational Motion Accessory Kit can be used to study the motion of a physical pendulum; the rotational inertia of disks, rings, and point masses; and the conservation of angular momentum. Monitor angular motion precisely and easily. It is direction sensitive. You can use it to collect angular displacement, angular velocity, and angular acceleration data. Typical experiments include measuring moments of inertia, torque, pendula, and Atwood’s machine experiments. Even though we call it a Rotary Motion Sensor, it can also be used to measure linear position to a fraction of a millimeter. User manual
