Use the Dual-Range Force Sensor in a wide variety of experiments, including the study of friction, simple harmonic motion, impact in collisions, or centripetal force.
The Dual-Range Force Sensor is a general-purpose sensor for measuring pushing and pulling forces. Two ranges allow you to measure forces as small as 0.01 newtons and as large as 50 newtons. It can be used in a broad range of ways:
As a replacement for a hand-held spring scale
Mounted horizontally on a dynamics cart to study collisions
Mounted on a ring-stand to measure forces in a vertical direction
Collect data from two Force Sensors simultaneously to study Newton’s Third Law
± 10 N Range Resolution: 0.01 N
± 50 N Range Resolution: 0.05 N

The Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor couples a 3-axis accelerometer with a stable and accurate force sensor that measures forces as small as ±0.1 N and up to ±50 N. Measure pushes and pulls in the classroom or outdoors. It directly connects wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB to your platform.
The Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor includes a force sensor, 3-axis accelerometer, and 3-axis gyroscope. Take it on a roller coaster, swing, or slide. Suspend several Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensors from the ceiling to perform a 3-D vector force experiment, or attach a string to the hook and whirl it in a horizontal or vertical circle. In wireless mode, your imagination is the only limiting factor!
Go Direct Force and Acceleration can be used in a variety of experiments:
Investigate Newton’s Third Law by connecting the hooks of two force sensors with a rubber band.
Use the force sensor to pull an object across a surface to measure frictional forces.
Attach the force sensor to the Centripetal Force Apparatus to measure centripetal force and acceleration simultaneously.
Place sensors on Dynamics Carts to investigate forces and accelerations in collisions.

Most of our sensors have cables that are 1.5 m long. There are times, however, that you may wish to have a longer cable. The Analog Sensor Extension Cable can be used with any Vernier sensor that connects to an analog channel labeled CH1, CH2, CH3, or CH4. Each cable is 2 meters in length.
Allows the Dual-Range Force Sensor to be mounted on the end of an air track for collision studies. Compatible with most air tracks distributed or made by PASCO scientific, Central Scientific, or Daedalon Corporation. Includes two magnetic bumpers.
This accessory kit contains 6 springs that are ideal for physics experiments. The springs are 6 cm long and 0.8 cm in diameter. Three springs have a spring constant of 5 N/m and the other three have a spring constant of 15 N/m.
The Bumper and Launcher Kit contains accessories for experiments involving the Vernier Dual-Range Force Sensor (DFS-BTA), the Wireless Dynamics Sensor System (WDSS), and the Dynamics Cart and Track Systems (DTS / DS-EC). These accessories include two hoop springs of different stiffnesses, plus additional bumpers for elastic and inelastic collisions.
1 track bracket
1 dual-magnet bumper
1 DFS end mount screw
2 magnetic bumpers
2 rubber bumpers
2 hoop bumpers
2 clay holders
