Descrizione
Utilizzando il fototraguardo Go Direct, gli studenti sono in grado di misurare con facilità e precisione la velocità e l’accelerazione nel movimento di un oggetto in caduta libera, oggetti rotanti, collisioni e pendoli, senza il bisogno di sapere nulla sulla geometria dell’oggetto.
Il fototraguardo Go Direct comprende anche una porta laser singola da utilizzare con oggetti che passano al di fuori dei bracci del fototraguardo; l’uso del raggio laser richiede un laser a penna a luce visibile V-LASER non incluso nella fornitura.

Il fototraguardo Go Direct può essere utilizzato in una varietà di esperimenti:

I sensori Direct Go possono essere utilizzati via cavo USB o wireless tramite la tecnologia wireless Bluetooth®, consentendo di scegliere la soluzione migliore per la propria classe o laboratorio.

La robusta batteria ricaricabile garantisce una lunga durata e fornisce un funzionamento sempre pronto quando si utilizza il sensore in modalità wireless.

Se la batteria si scarica basta collegare il sensore al cavo di ricarica e durante questa fase è possibile continuare a raccogliere dati senza alcuna interruzione o disagi per l’utilizzatore.

Laser Pointer
This Class 2 (<1 mW) laser pointer can be used with the Vernier Photogate to produce a gate that is wider than the normal 7.5 cm spacing, making it possible to measure the speed of an automobile or of a person running. The laser case is made of aluminum, and it uses two AAA batteries (included). The wavelength of the light is 650 nm. A momentary switch (normally off) controls the laser beam.

The Time of Flight Pad is used with the Vernier Projectile Launcher and a Vernier interface to determine the launch speed of a projectile, along with the time the projectile is in flight. Time-of-flight measurements allow students to see just how kinematic calculations work in real-world applications. The Time of Flight Pad is electrically like a photogate. When a ball strikes the foam top surface, a circuit is closed.

Photogates allow for extremely accurate timing of events within physics experiments, for studying free fall, air track collisions, pendulum periods, the speed of a rolling object, among other things. The Vernier Photogate includes an accessory rod for mounting to a ring stand. The gate has an input port so multiple gates can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration with up to four gates going to a single interface channel. The laser gate mode requires the addition of a common pen laser, which is directed into the laser port.
