Laser Pointer

Informations sur le produit "Laser Pointer"

This Class 2 (<1 mW) laser pointer can be used with the Vernier Photogate to produce a gate that is wider than the normal 7.5 cm spacing, making it possible to measure the speed of an automobile or of a person running. The laser case is made of aluminum, and it uses two AAA batteries (included). The wavelength of the light is 650 nm. A momentary switch (normally off) controls the laser beam.

Accessory Items

Bar Tape

Picket Fence
Picket Fences have eight opaque bars spaced every 5 cm, silk-screened directly onto clear plastic. Drop the picket fence through a photogate to obtain records of position, velocity and acceleration vs time or to measure g.

Photogate
Photogates allow for extremely accurate timing of events within physics experiments, for studying free fall, air track collisions, pendulum periods, the speed of a rolling object, among other things. The Vernier Photogate includes an accessory rod for mounting to a ring stand. The gate has an input port so multiple gates can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration with up to four gates going to a single interface channel. The laser gate mode requires the addition of a common pen laser, which is directed into the laser port. The laser may be some distance from the gate, so that you can measure the speed of larger objects such as a rocket, model car, or even a real automobile. User manual

Laser Pointer Stand

Ultra Pulley Attachment
Add an Ultra Pulley to your Photogate to monitor motion as a string passes over the pulley, or as the pulley rolls along a table.   You can also connect the ultra pulley to our track with the Pulley Bracket.

Go Direct® Photogate
Using Go Direct Photogate, students are able to easily and accurately measure velocity and acceleration to study the movement of an object in free fall, rolling objects, collisions, and pendulums, without needing to know anything about the geometry of the object. Go Direct Photogate also includes a single laser gate for use with objects passing outside of the arms of the sensor. Using the laser gate requires a visible-light pen laser (not included). Go Direct Photogate can be used in a variety of experiments: Measuring acceleration of a cart on an incline using a cart picket fence Measuring the angular motion of a wheel as it is turning Investigating Newton’s second law using a half-Atwood machine to measure acceleration Determining the time an object passes one or more gates Wired or Wireless—The Flexibility to ChooseOur Go Direct sensors connect directly to your mobile device, Chromebook™, or computer using our free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. Go Direct sensors can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory. Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You AreThe robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from our free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app or LabQuest 2 App. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students. Digital Extension Cable
For use with Vernier digital sensors. Most of Vernier sensors have cables that are 1.5 m long. There are times, however, that you may wish to have a longer cable. The Digital Sensor Extension Cable can be used with any Vernier sensor that connects to a digital channel of one of our interfaces. The port will be labeled DIG1 or DIG2. Each cable is 2 meters in length.
