Description
Simplify your experimental setup with the Go Direct Current Probe. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB to your device. The wireless connection eliminates additional cables that can clutter the lab bench.
Capture small currents like those produced by a magnet falling through a coil.
Use in combination with the Go Direct Voltage Probe to investigate Ohm’s law or series and parallel circuits.
Explore RC and RLC circuits.
Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are
The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from our free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app or LabQuest 2 App. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.
Wired or Wireless—The Flexibility to Choose
Our Go Direct sensors connect directly to your mobile device, Chromebook™, or computer using our free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. Go Direct sensors can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.
Specifications
Range: +/- 1 A and +/- 0.1 A
Maximum non-damaging current: 1.5 A and 0.5 A
Typical resolution: 0.031 mA and 0.003 mA
Connections:
Wireless: Bluetooth

The Current Probe can be used to measure currents in low-voltage AC and DC circuits or for electrochemistry experiments.
The Current Probe measures DC and low-frequency AC currents up to 600 mA. Use Current Probes in combination with Differential Voltage Probes to investigate Ohm’s Law and explore series and parallel circuits. The 0.1 Ω shunt resistor minimizes changes to your circuit. If currents will exceed 1 A, use the High Current Sensor.
Range: ±0.6 A
Maximum voltage on any input: ±10 V

The Instrumentation Amplifier can be used to connect a wide variety of measurement equipment to a Vernier interface and electronically collect, store, and analyze the data.
The Instrumentation Amplifier monitors voltages from 20 mV to 1 V (DC or AC). It has several switch settings to allow you to select the best gain and includes auto-ID functionality for each of the six ranges. Input bandwidth of 10 kHz allows the capture of higher frequency signals. It is typically used to amplify the chart recorder or analog output of any instrument, such as a third-party gas chromatograph.
Range settings:0-20 mV, 0-200 mV, 0-1 V, ±20 mV, ±200 mV, ±1 V
User manual
Use Vernier probeware to teach concepts at the college physics, Advanced Placement (AP) Physics, or International Baccalaureate (IB) Physics level. Use it in addition to Advanced Physics with Vernier - Mechanics (PHYS-AM) and Physics with Vernier (PWC-LP) for a comprehensive set of topics.
Advanced Physics with Vernier – Beyond Mechanics is the second of a two-volume set of experiments for the more in-depth introductory physics course, such as college physics, AP Physics, or IB Physics. Experiments are designed for an interactive teaching style, with planned moments for instructor or student-led discussion.
Instructor notes include discussion on how to lead students to a successful activity. The book includes many extensions to challenge the most talented students.
This inductor is used in many physics experiments, including some in our Advanced Physics with Vernier – Beyond Mechanics book. It is an air-core inductor is made from 20 gauge copper wire. It has an inductance of 5 mH and a resistance of 2.4 ohms. It is rated at 200 Watts. A metal core (included) can be added to increase inductance.
For RL or RLC circuit experiments, we recommend using this inductor in combination with our Vernier Circuit Board. The ends of the coil wire are exposed so that you can easily make connections to the Vernier Circuit Board or to other components or sensors.
