CO2 Gas Sensor

Info sui prodotti "CO2 Gas Sensor"

With this sensor, you can easily monitor changes in CO2 levels occurring in respiration of organisms ranging from peas to humans.  A 250 mL respiration chamber with probe attachment is included for running controlled experiments with small plants and animals.

- On the high range, you can explore human respiratory changes in CO2 levels based on exercise.
- The lower range offers more sensitivity for cellular respiration and photosynthetic metabolism studies.

Ranges:
- lower: 0–10,000 ppm
- higher: 0–100,000 ppm

BioChamber 2000
The BioChamber 2000 is a 2000 mL plastic chamber that can be used with a CO2 Gas Sensor and an O2 Gas Sensor to monitor gaseous carbon dioxide and oxygen levels simultaneously in a closed system. The BioChamber 2000 is particularly useful when monitoring respiration and photosynthesis. The large side opening provides easy access to insert, adjust, or remove the sample. The BioChamber 2000 has two sensor ports on adjacent sides. Placing one of these ports on top, as shown, allows the O2 Gas Sensor to be in its proper vertical orientation. The CO2 Gas Sensor can then be placed in the other port on the side. Note that the two sensor ports are not equally spaced. One port is centered on its side of the chamber while the other is off-center. This was done intentionally to provide two options for your sensor orientation. If you choose not to use both ports, a size 6 rubber stopper fits snugly in the grommet. Note: While the stopper fits well, it is not guaranteed to be a water tight seal.

Investigating Environmental Science through Inquiry
Investigating Environmental Science through Inquiry contains 34 inquiry-based, environmental science investigations. Each experiment includes a preliminary activity, teacher information, sample researchable questions, and sample data. The lab book uses data collection-technology to look at local issues and solutions. Labs are correlated to Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) standards. Topics covered include: Earth Systems and Resources/Air and Water Earth Systems and Resources/Soil The Living World Global Change and Population Energy Resources and Consumption Pollution The inquiry style used is based on recommendations from the National Research Council report, Learning and Understanding: Improving Advanced Study of Mathematics and Science in U.S. High Schools (2002) and leading inquiry-based learning experts.

Go! Link
Vernier’s low-cost USB sensor interface connects Vernier sensors to a computer or to a Chromebook. The Go!Link USB sensor interface is a quick and affordable way to get started with data-collection technology. It’s a single-channel interface that connects most Vernier sensors to your computer or Chromebook USB port. Setting up data-collection experiments is as simple as 1-2-3: Plug the Go!Link to a USB port and a sensor into the Go!Link. Start the data-logging software. Click on the “Collect” button to see a real-time graph! USB specification:1.1 Maximum sample rate:Computer: 200 samples per secondChromebook: 10 samples per second Resolution:12 bit Logger Lite Software (free download)The free data-collection software is a tool for students to see data graphed in real time, examine data point by point, annotate different experiment runs, and more.  Comparison and CompatibilityThe Adapter Wizard helps you determine whether a sensor is compatible with the Go!Link interface.

BioChamber 250
The BioChamber 250 is a 250 mL Nalgene bottle that can be used with a CO2 Gas Sensor and an O2 Gas Sensor to monitor gaseous carbon dioxide and oxygen levels simultaneously in a closed system. The BioChamber is useful in experiments such as photosynthesis and cell respiration. With the bottle on its side, place the CO2 Gas Sensor into the neck of the BioChamber and the O2 Gas Sensor into the rubber grommet as shown. This design keeps the O2 Gas Sensor in the desired upright position while placing the CO2 Gas Sensor in an ideal position for gas level monitoring.A size 6 rubber stopper fits into the rubber grommet if an O2 Gas Sensor is not used. Note: While the stopper fits snugly in the grommet, it is not guaranteed to be a water tight seal.
