Photogate
Photogates allow for extremely accurate timing of events within physics experiments, for studying free fall, air track collisions, pendulum periods, the speed of a rolling object, among other things. The Vernier Photogate includes an accessory rod for mounting to a ring stand. The gate has an input port so multiple gates can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration with up to four gates going to a single interface channel. The laser gate mode requires the addition of a common pen laser, which is directed into the laser port. The laser may be some distance from the gate, so that you can measure the speed of larger objects such as a rocket, model car, or even a real automobile. User manual

Go Direct™ Force and Acceleration Sensor
The Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor couples a 3-axis accelerometer with a stable and accurate force sensor that measures forces as small as ±0.1 N and up to ±50 N. Measure pushes and pulls in the classroom or outdoors. It directly connects wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB to your platform. The Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor includes a force sensor, 3-axis accelerometer, and 3-axis gyroscope. Take it on a roller coaster, swing, or slide. Suspend several Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensors from the ceiling to perform a 3-D vector force experiment, or attach a string to the hook and whirl it in a horizontal or vertical circle. In wireless mode, your imagination is the only limiting factor! Go Direct Force and Acceleration can be used in a variety of experiments: Investigate Newton’s Third Law by connecting the hooks of two force sensors with a rubber band. Use the force sensor to pull an object across a surface to measure frictional forces. Attach the force sensor to the Centripetal Force Apparatus to measure centripetal force and acceleration simultaneously. Place sensors on Dynamics Carts to investigate forces and accelerations in collisions. Friction Pad DTS
After working hard to make our dynamics carts very low friction, we’ve added some friction back. Now you and your students can study friction in a controlled way. Add a Friction Pad DTS to your Vernier Standard Cart, Plunger Cart, or Motion Encoder Cart, and watch the carts move under very consistent friction force. Setting the friction amount is as simple as turning a knob. Friction Pad DTS is not compatible with older metal dynamics carts.

Motion Detector Reflector Flag
The Motion Detector Reflector Flag is used to make the setup of motion detector-based experiments less critical. The flag attaches to the cart end with magnets. It increases the size and uniformity of the cart end, serving as a reflector for the Motion Detector. It is compatible with both plastic and metal dynamics carts.
