Sensor Cart Physics

Informations sur le produit "Sensor Cart Physics"

Sensor Cart Physics, authored by Roger F. Larson, features 21 guided-inquiry investigations using the Vernier Go Direct® Sensor Cart. It provides a stimulating structure to explore introductory through AP-level concepts in kinematics, dynamics, and conservation of energy and momentum.

The Go Direct® Sensor Cart is equipped with three sensors: a motion encoder wheel that reports the cart’s position, velocity, and acceleration; a force sensor with a range of ±50 N; and a 3-axis accelerometer—providing hands-on opportunities to explore basic physics principles. The sensor data are transmitted via Bluetooth®  wireless technology to devices for inspection in the free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app.

Each of the investigations provides an experiment video or photo to offer guidance. Links to internet background information are included in the Introduction which tie the topics to real-world phenomena. The links can serve as pre-lab assignments to introduce each investigation. The Research Question and Predicted Outcome sections are incorporated to engage student interest and provide a meaningful purpose for the investigation.

Note that these experiments challenge students to develop their own experimental procedures and record their data without pre-made data tables. Students are directed to write their own conclusions in response to research questions and to design their own extensions to the included experiments. This set of experiments complements guided-inquiry and Modeling Instruction™ classrooms.

Dynamics Cart and Track System with Motion Encoder
The Dynamics Cart and Track System with Motion Encoder is a revolutionary way for physics students to study dynamics. The Motion Encoder adds an optical position sensing system to record cart motion and eliminates the need for a motion detector for cart-on-track activities. Capture accurate, repeatable motion data with the Motion Encoder Cart and Receiver for sperior cart-on-track experiments. The Motion Encoder Cart replaces the ultrasonic Motion Detector when used for dynamics carton-on-track activities. The Dynamics Cart and Track System with Motion Encoder allows students to explore kinematics, dynamics, momentum, and energy with the ease and precision of optical motion sensing. The Motion Encoder is an optical position sensing system that records cart motion and eliminates the need for a motion detector for cart-on-track activities. In addition to a Motion Encoder Cart and Receiver, this system includes an aluminum track, a low-friction plastic plunger cart, an ultra pulley, and all of the necessary attachment accessories. The Dynamics Cart and Track System with Motin Encoder includes: Combination 1.2 m Track/Optics Bench Motion Encoder Cart with magnetic and hook-and-pile end caps Motion Encoder Receiver Plunger Cart with magnetic and hook-and-pile end caps 4 hexagonal masses, 125 g each Mounting hardware for Dual-Range Force Sensor and accelerometers Adjustable End Stop 2 Adjustable Two-Foot Levelers Motion Detector Bracket Motion Detector Reflector Flag Rod Clamp 2 Photogate Brackets Ultra Pulley Pulley Bracket User manual The long-track version includes the same carts and accessories as the Dynamics Cart and Track System but substitutes a 2.2m Track for the 1.2m Track.   Shipping costs standard version: The standard version 1.2m is sent as PostPac Economy bulky goods. The total shipping costs are CHF 31.00.   Shipping costs long version:   The long track version 2.2m is shipped by freight forwarding. The costs for shipping amount to a total of CHF 74.00. &am
