Electrode Support

Info sui prodotti "Electrode Support"

The Vernier Electrode Support connects to all standard ring-stand posts to keep sensors firmly in place during an experiment.

The Electrode Support is a great complement to the Vernier Stir Station, as well as a perfect holder for many sensors. It is built to connect to all standard ring-stand posts; its large-handled locking nut keeps your sensors firmly in place.

The larger opening (13 mm in diameter) is perfect for our pH, ISE, Conductivity and ORP sensors.

The smaller opening (5 mm) is designed to hold our Stainless Steel Temperature Probe or the Vernier Go!Temp.

The clamp end makes connecting to ring stands easy, accommodating post diameters between ~0.5 and 1 cm. The grooves on the Electrode Support to hold the wire leads for electroplating or electrolysis experiments.

Go Direct® Elettrodo ione-selettivo di potassio

Microstirrer
When Vernier introduced the new Drop Counter, they decided to include a Vernier Microstirrer to enhance stirring. Since then, they've had many requests to have this as a separate product. The Microstirrer takes the place of the stirring bar that is typically used with a laboratory magnetic stirrer. The new Vernier Microstirrer easily attaches to the end of a pH Sensor, Conductivity Probe, Dissolved Oxygen Probe or Ion-Selective Electrode. When the magnetic stirrer plate (required, but not included) is turned on, its magnetic field turns the paddle wheel of the Microstirrer, resulting in enhanced stirring near the electrode tip. The Microstirrer works with any magnetic stirrer.

Chloride Ion-Selective Electrode
The concentration of the Chloride ion gives a quick measurement of salinity of water samples. Use the Chloride ISE to measure chloride levels in ocean saltwater or salt in food samples. The Chloride ISE has a combination-style, non-refillable, gel-filled electrode. Unlike other ISEs available from Vernier, the Chloride ISE has a solid-state membrane that does not need to be replaced.   Important: Ion-Selective Electrodes require good chemical technique and careful calibration to obtain accurate results; they are not recommended for middle school or elementary students.   CL-BTA User manual

CHF 672.70*
Nitrate Ion-Selective Electrode
Nitrate concentration, which can be increased by acidic rainfall, fertilizer runoff from fields, and plant or animal decay or waste, is an important parameter in nearly all water quality studies. Use the Nitrate ISE to determine the concentration of the nitrate ion in a water sample. The Nitrate ISE has a combination-style, non-refillable, gel-filled electrode. Like all other PVC ISE membranes, the membrane on the ISE has a limited life expectancy. However, the replaceable module of ISE allows you to simply discard the used membrane module, and replace it with a new one. Note: We recommend that you do not purchase ISE replacement modules too far in advance of their expected time of use as degradation occurs while they are stored on the shelf.   Important: Ion-Selective Electrodes require good chemical technique and careful calibration to obtain accurate results; they are not recommended for middle school or elementary students.   NO3-BTA User manual

Potassium Ion-Selective Electrode
The Potassium Ion-Selective Electrode can be used to measure the concentration of potassium (K+) ions in aqueous solutions. The Potassium Ion-Selective Electrode makes the measure of potassium ions portable. When used with a Vernier LabQuest 2, the Potassium ISE can be used to take readings in the field – at lakes or streams. This sensor is easier to set up and use than other methods of measuring potassium ion concentration in aqueous solutions. Because it is a stick-style sensor, its use is similar to using a conductivity probe or a pH sensor in a laboratory setting or in the field. Ion-Selective Electrodes require good chemical technique and careful calibration to obtain accurate results. They are not recommended for middle school or elementary students. User manual

Constant Current System
The Constant Current System is a DC power source with a built-in current probe designed for use in electrochemistry experiments. The Constant Current System eliminates the need for a separate power supply when performing electroplating and electrolysis experiments in chemistry. It is capable of delivering up to 0.6 A at 5 V DC. A current-sensing resistor allows monitoring of the output current through the sensor cable. The user can set the current by tuning the dial with the system automatically adjusting the voltage. Use the Constant Current System to explore Faraday’s law and determine Avogadro’s Number. Note that it can only be used in conjunction with its own built-in power supply—it cannot be used to measure the current of a circuit using a different power supply. User Manual
