Product information "Centripetal Force Apparatus Sensor Bracket"
The Centripetal Force Apparatus Sensor Bracket is used to attach a Go Direct® Force and Acceleration Sensor to the beam of a Go Direct Vernier Centripetal Force Apparatus or Centripetal Force Apparatus. This bracket and hardware is also able to attach some third-party sensors to these apparatus.
The Go Direct Centripetal Force Apparatus and Go Direct Force and Acceleration Sensor make an ideal combination to explore rotational dynamics. What's Included Go Direct Centripetal Force System (with sensor) Go Direct® Centripetal Force System Base with adjustable feet Bearing and spindle Rotating beam Sensor bracket Mass carriage with thumb screws Mass carriage with bearings 50 g masses (2)

The Centripetal Force Apparatus allows you to investigate the relationship between centripetal force, angular velocity, mass, and radius.
Description
A force sensor measures the centripetal force exerted on a mass as it moves in a circle. A photogate can be used to measure the angular speed. Different masses can be added to the platform and positioned at variable radii. The platform can be driven by a falling mass. The apparatus also accommodates the Vernier Wireless Dynamic Sensor System to measure force, which provides the best set of data. Sensors are sold separately.

User manual
This kit controls the rotational rate of the Go Direct® Centripetal Force System so students can focus on a single variable and deepen their understanding of cause and effect. The Motor Accessory Kit drives the experiment setup at a constant angular velocity while students evaluate the centripetal acceleration and/or force required to maintain an object rotating at a specified radius. The rotational rate is adjustable.
Specifications
The speed can be controlled to a maximum of about 9.6 radians per second (~90 revolutions per minute or ~550 degrees per second).
What's included
Motor
Bracket and attachment to base
Power supply with variable speed control
O-ring
