This rugged temperature probe features a wide temperature range, from –20 to 330°C. The high upper limit of the sensor allows for melting point determinations of most organic compounds.
Vernier’s wide-range temperature probe uses RTD (Resistance Temperature Detection) technology to establish a ±0.1°C accuracy, as well as excellent stability and repeatability. Each unit is individually calibrated, and the calibration is stored on a smart chip in the sensor.
It is designed to be used as you would use a thermometer for experiments in organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, biology, Earth science, and environmental science.

The PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) Sensor reports the Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD), which corresponds to micromoles of photons per meter squared per second (μmol m-2 s-1). This is the power of electromagnetic radiation in the spectral range that is used by plants for photosynthesis (400–700 nm). It features a waterproof sensor head and can be used to measure PPFD from sunlight and electric light sources.
This sensor is ideal for experiments investigating photosynthesis and primary productivity and can be used in many agricultural and environmental science applications.
