Note: The Advanced Wind Experiment Kit and Classroom Pack do not include basic tools (glue, scissors, screwdriver, etc.) or a multimeter. You can measure current and voltage from the turbines using a Go Direct® Energy Sensor, and an optional Vernier Variable Load or Vernier Resistor Board.
User Manual - KW-AWX
The Vernier Energy Sensor offers an easy way to quantify voltage, current, power, and energy output of small wind turbines and solar panels such as those used in our KidWind Experiment Kits.
Specifications
Source Input Potential Range: ± 30 V
Source Input Current Range: ± 1000 mA
What's included
Vernier Energy Sensor
User Manual - VES-BTA
The Solar Thermal Exploration Kit is modeled after a domestic solar water-heating system. Explore variables such as box color, light intensity, tube design, rate of water pumping, and amount of time it takes to heat the water. Learn about what makes a solar water heating system more or less efficient. For optimal results, we recommend using Go Direct® Temperature or another temperature probe with this kit.
